Haoliang Huang got his bachelor degree in 2006 from Wuhan University of Technology, majoring in Civil Engineering. After that, he obtained a fully state-sponsored scholarship to study Structural Engineering in Wuhan University of Technology. In 2009, Haoliang Huang received the degree of Mater Science. In October of 2009, he became a PhD candidate in the Section of Material & Environment, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences of the Delft University of Technology, afforded by Chinese Scholarship Counsel. His PhD research project wastitled as “Thermo dynamics of Autogenous Self-healing in Cementitious Materials”. In 2014, Haoliang Huang obtained Ph.D. degree from Delft University of Technology.

From Dec, 2014 on, Dr. Huang works in Southeast University. His research interests include Self-healing Concrete, Aging Problems of Concrete and Low Carbon Cementitious Materials etc. Now he is participating a subproject of National Basic Research Program ofChina (973 Program) - Fundamental Investigation of Concrete Materials and Long Service Life of Structures under Sever Conditions. Dr. Huang is also a member of RILEM Technical committee – 221: Self-healing Phenomena in Cement-based Materials.
